Machine Operator 1 - Direct

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating production equipment and meeting area production goals. Duties and responsibilities include setting up and operating assigned equipment, using computers to load printer software, and loading/unloading sealing and printing equipment with product and packaging material. The operator must recognize and react to problems with equipment, make adjustments as required, and inspect and verify products according to quality standards. They work with Set Up Technicians to resolve equipment problems, clean equipment to ensure proper operation, break down scrap packages, and accurately complete scrap tickets, daily production sheets, and hourly goal boards. The operator must maintain production pace and standards, adhere to all safety requirements, and practice 5Ss.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required include understanding and following verbal and written instructions, basic math skills, basic mechanical skills, and basic computer skills. Education and experience requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent and 0-1 years of machine operation experience.
