What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

1. Research laws and prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda
2. Provide opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department
3. Prepare and handle pleadings, motions, and discovery, including depositions and examinations before trial
4. Defend assigned matters by trial or dispositive hearing
5. Document files in a clear, concise, and professional manner

What is Required (Qualifications):

1. 2-6+ years of litigation experience in insurance, defense, or personal injury
2. Juris Doctor degree
3. Admission to the California Bar and in good standing
4. Ability to travel for trials, hearings, depositions, and meetings
5. Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to follow complex instructions

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

1. Experience in civil litigation
2. Background in insurance defense-related litigation
3. Excellent communication skills in person, via telephone, and in writing
