$58.76435/hr incl. casual loading

2024-2025 FY Remote Nurse Total Remuneration Package (TRP)
- Full-time: ~$103577.57 pa + generous salary packaging options
- Casual: ~$129471.97 pa (pro-rata) + generous salary packaging options
TRP includes the hourly rate (annualised to include Saturday penalty rates and 2 x meal allowances), casual hourly rate also includes casual loading. Both include 11.5% superannuation.
Remote Locality Allowance (RLA) is a taxable benefit, applied when required to live and work remotely for more than 21 days. It is paid at $53/day (max of 10 days per pay fortnight). $13780/pa pro-rata RLA is only payable when living remote (not when on leave or in town).
Remote Dialysis Nurses may also be eligible for higher duties as Site Coordinator at some sites.
6+ weeks annual leave (pro-rata) for full-time remote
About the role
The role of the Registered Nurse (Dialysis) is to deliver haemodialysis on a 2:1 patient to nurse ratio to patients with complex needs in a community context and contribute to the management of dialysis units under the direction of Site or Regional Coordinators. Key responsibilities include holistic care and chronic disease management to support renal patients and their families.
Functions/Key Responsibilities
- Provide optimal dialysis treatment and holistic care within the scope of practice of a Registered Nurse.
- Work effectively within a team with a focus on patient care at all times.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships within the community and engage with community strengthening activities.
- Manage a diverse workload, using and maintaining assets and resources effectively.
- Participate in quality and governance activities, reporting as required.
- Act as a resource and mentor, encouraging and supporting all new staff.
- Maintain clinical competency in haemodialysis and Basic Life Support.
- Promote a safe work environment in accordance with legislative requirements, adhere to Work Health Safety guidelines, and report all incidents and near misses.
- Other duties as required within trained capability and classification.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Qualification/s and minimum 2 years haemodialysis nursing experience.
- Current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) registration.
- Certification of Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Current National Criminal History (police check) less than 6 months old.
- Unrestricted driver license to be able to drive in the NT.
- Immunisation Status must include: COVID 19 vaccination (2 jabs + 1 booster) + Hepatitis A & B, MMR, Varicella, BCG (bacille CalmetteGurin) vaccine, Influenza, Pertussis.
