General Summary and Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Corporate Reliability Manager will develop, implement, and oversee Spartech's overall reliability and maintenance strategy. This position will lead the development and use of eMaint, a cloud-based Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software. This role is responsible for enhancing plant performance by implementing proactive, data-driven maintenance practices to maximize equipment uptime, minimize operational costs, and promote a culture of continuous improvement. While this role is not responsible for day-to-day maintenance activities, this position will provide leadership and support to the plant based Maintenance Managers.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Fully develop a CMMS program using eMaint within one of Spartech's larger facilities, then use this facility as a standard for subsequent prioritized plants
- Manage one direct report (Maintenance Specialist) and third parties as necessary to expedite the CMMS development for the initial site
- Partner with local maintenance teams on developing good maintenance practices, identifying critical spares, determing min / max levels for storerooms, and leveraging the work order system for establishing connectivity between maintenance activity and costs
- Ensure the organization evaluates maintenance parts inventory and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) materials to ensure critical spares are readily available while optimizing inventory costs.
- Develop and execute long-term maintenance and equipment reliability strategies, including preventative (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) programs.
- Provide oversight to the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders, track equipment history, and optimize maintenance schedules
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), and downtime. Provide Governance to the broader maintenance organization for making improvements to these metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Lean Six Sigma
- Manage relationships with external contractors and suppliers to ensure the quality and cost-effectiveness of services
- Work closely with operations, engineering, and quality teams to align maintenance strategies with production goals and resolve equipment issues
- Support capital improvement projects, providing technical input on new equipment specifications to ensure maintainability and reliability
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure all maintenance activities are compliant with company policies and regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA)
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in maintenance and reliability leadership, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Demonstrated experience and in depth knowledge of CMMS systems, preferably with eMaint
- Professional certifications such as Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Certified Reliability Leader (CRL) are preferred

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to motivate teams and collaborate with cross-functional departments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to use data for strategic decision-making
- Expertise in maintenance best practices, including preventive, predictive, and precision maintenance
- Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and resources effectively
- Strategic thinking with the ability to foresee and mitigate potential risks to asset reliability
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to industrial maintenance
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Ability to travel 50% - 70%
