Senior Heavy Equipment Shop Mechanic

This individual will have extensive experience in heavy equipment repair and technical knowledge of construction equipment and engine mechanical failures with a strong focus on customer service. WHAT YOU WILL DO

You'll be responsible for set up, repair, service, diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and installation of replacement parts on Caterpillar diesel-powered construction equipment. While you'll work independently for the most part, there are also service mentors who will provide guidance as needed. You'll also:

• Interpret and analyze mechanical, hydraulic, and electric schematics and wiring diagrams
• Provide high-quality repair service on equipment engines
• Serve customers' needs in a positive, safe, and timely manner

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

We all have different backgrounds, yet we all use our unique contributions to provide the highest quality of service. Basic qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Diesel engine, construction equipment, and/or truck engine training through an accredited technical school OR relevant military experience preferred
• 5+ years of previous hands-on relevant experience with CAT equipment or similar industrial equipment and/or industrial engines
• 5+ years of experience in diagnostics and troubleshooting diesel-powered construction equipment or truck engines
• Can work five-day work schedules and availability to work overtime or weekend hours as required
• Owns a complete set of basic mechanical hand tools (drives, sockets, and wrenches)
• Possess and maintain a current, valid state driver's license
