Job Description

The Staff Accountant helps prepare and maintain financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This role involves reconciling accounts, managing transactional data in the general ledger, and assisting with financial reporting. Staff accountants will work under the guidance of senior management and may be involved in various accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Record Keeping:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Process and verify invoices, payments, and other financial transactions.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Analyze general ledger accounts for budgeting purposes.
Other Duties:
  • Perform other accounting tasks as assigned, such as assisting with accounts payable, inventory, and other key functions of the organization.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records and files.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting procedures and controls.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience in Accounting
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
