The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a Tenable Security Engineer to join our Scanning and Monitoring team. The ideal candidate will have significant expertise managing the Tenable product as well as a strong background in information security and vulnerability assessment.

The Tenable Security Engineer should feel comfortable optimizing the Tenable implementation while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance DHS' overall security posture. This role is part of a team of Scanning and Monitoring Engineers working to define, develop, and manage strategies that reduce risk and improves resiliency.

Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as a point of contact providing technical guidance and supporting the Tenable solution
  2. Support the design, implementation, and tailoring of the Tenable solution
  3. Develop and manage scanning policies and schedules for vulnerability assessments
  4. Analyze scan results and prioritize remediation efforts
  5. Create customer audit files and plugins for specific security checks
  6. Integrate Tenable solutions with other security tools (SNOW, SIEM)
  7. Develop, recommend, and enforce policies for scanning and monitoring
  8. Document and map the architecture of current scanning and monitoring tools and environment
  9. Support the development of a Security Engineering Tool roadmap
  10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance overall security posture through automation
  11. Stay current with emerging security technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements or additions.

Qualifications:

Required:
  1. Ability to attain DHS EOD and Top Secret (TS) clearance
  2. ITIL V4 Foundations certification (or obtain in first 6 months)
  3. BA/BS or equivalent +10 years of experience (AA/AS +12yrs)
  4. Significant experience in cybersecurity, with strong hands-on experience in scanning and monitoring
  5. Strong knowledge of the vulnerability management principles and practices
  6. Strong experience integrating Tenable with other security tools
  7. Proficient in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation and integration
  8. 4 or more years of hands-on experience in enterprise IT support
  9. Experience working with and guiding technicians with varying skill levels and supporting end users remotely
  10. Experience with security tools and technologies, like SIEM, IDS/IPS, and firewalls
  11. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in optimizing security workflows
  12. Professional, customer-oriented, and even-keeled under pressure
  13. Effective communicator at all levels, both written and verbal

Desired:
  1. Tenable relevant certification (i.e. Tenable Certified Security Engineer)
  2. Significant experience with DevOps practice and tools
  3. Knowledge of cloud security and containerization technologies
  4. Cybersecurity relevant certification Security +, CEH, GPEN, OSEP, Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP)

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is: $73,900 - $155,200
