* Maintains proper condition of machinery and mechanical equipment by properly completing preventive maintenance while following diagrams, manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and/or engineering specifications
* Locates sources of problems in machinery and mechanical equipment by observing operation, examining components, using testing instruments and tools, and/or troubleshooting malfunctions
* Repairs machinery and mechanical equipment by removing defective parts, properly repairing defective parts, and/or properly installing new or repaired parts
* Inspects parts to determine dimensional changes by using measuring instruments
* Adjusts functional parts of machinery and mechanical equipment by using various types of tools
* Possesses knowledge of and properly uses tools and equipment such as, but not limited to, fork trucks, power floor cleaners, hoists, cranes, torches, air compressors, air and power tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments
* Reads and interprets blueprints, engineering specifications, and shop orders to properly complete tasks and/or determine machine setup, work methods, and sequence of operations
* Controls downtime by informing management, lead people, and peers of machine/equipment malfunctions, potential malfunctions, and routine preventive maintenance schedules and techniques
* Maintains and repairs plumbing, physical structure, and electrical wiring/fixtures of buildings and/or facilities
* Capable of performing all essential job results of custodial & building/grounds maintenance
* Maintains stock of equipment, parts, and supplies by checking inventory levels, anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt of orders, and neatly storing equipment, parts, and supplies in proper location
* Operates forklift
* May be assigned to different work areas as production needs require
* Maintains orderly work area by neatly organizing tools, equipment, and supplies, properly disposing of trash, and sweeping/dusting on, around, and under machines
* Eliminates waste by following practices involved with the Lean Manufacturing Process
* Follows all safety procedures and guidelines
* Maintains safe working environment by properly using, handling, and storing hazardous materials
* Maintains acceptable productivity levels
* Ability to comprehend written and verbal instruction
